Michael N. Ferrara, Jr. is the founder of Griffin Systems Solutions.
Most recently Mr. Ferrara was the Founder and President of The Driving Center, an industry pioneer in streamlining the overall fleet safety management process into an intuitive and easy to use software as a service platform. To fuel the development and growth of The Driving Center, Mr. Ferrara acquired Capitol Management Consulting and all of its assets and technology in 2007 and since then has tripled the customer base and annual sales.
Just 18 months after starting The Driving Center, FleetRisk Advisors, the industry pioneer in predictive modeling and risk analytics for the commercial transportation and logistics market, acquired the company. FleetRisk gathered massive amounts of data about the day-to-day operation of large commercial fleets and utilized highly sophisticated analytics to predict the future risk and likelihood of a driver having an accident and developed intuitive intervention strategies to mitigate the risk.
FleetRisk was sold to Qualcomm, Inc. in early 2011 and is currently integrated into the Fleet Management organization of Qualcomm Enterprise Services.
In late 2011, Mr. Ferrara co-founded Driving Performance 360 and continued with his passion and efforts to help small and large sales organizations improve their fleet safety performance.
Mr. Ferrara’s early career was spent with Johnson & Johnson, where he held diverse positions with increasing responsibility over a 16-year period. In late 2006, he decided to follow his entrepreneurial calling and left Johnson & Johnson as their Worldwide Director of SAFE Fleet to pursue other interests.
Mr. Ferrara holds an AS in Manufacturing Engineering, A BS in Manufacturing Engineering, A BS in Occupational Safety & Health and an MBA in Global Management.
